Prototyping without writing (too much) code

These are some typical scripting languages for throwaway code:

• Processing (often used for multimedia art)

• Lua (the most common scripting language for games)

• C.O.F.F.E.E. (the scripting language of Cinema 4D)

One can use diagrams instead of textual code:

• Blender (contains a real-time physics and behavior system)

• Also many systems for multimedia art are based on this principle. In principle, they may be used to prototype some not-so-standard types of games:

• Cyclin' 74 Max/MSP Jitter

• PureData

• VVVV

• EyesWeb
